Matthew Nesbitt., Sc.D., FAAA

Dr. Matthew Nesbitt received his Bachelor of Science in Communications with a minor in Psychology from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI and his Doctor of Science in Audiology from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. He received a grant from the Special Olympics for his dissertation “An Evaluation of a Portable Sound Treated Environment” in which he developed a method of screening hearing in the field without the use of a sound booth by utilizing noise-cancelling technology. He completed his externship at the San Diego Hearing Center after which he began working with Paul Dietsch at the Oceanside and Encinitas Hearing Aid Centers for the past eight years.
He specializes in comprehensive hearing and tinnitus evaluations as well as expert hearing aid fittings.
He has been involved in the development of various audiological testing and verification equipment as well as providing consulting services.
He is very patient oriented and compassionate to the needs of his patients.
